5. Onboarding process for new agent to eXp Commercial. (There’s a different process for those who are with residential, and make the decision to migrate to commercial.)
1.) Direct the agent to our www.eXpCommercial.com website and have them apply as an agent.
2.) Agent should fully COMPLETE the join application in one sitting. The application does not save and will not allow you to pick up where you left off so DON’T waste time if agent isn’t 100% prepared to see enrollment through.
Agent do not fill a sponsor here as they do on the residential side, they will label the sponsor on the ICA (independent contractor agreement) that is sent to them later in the process.
3.) At this point the agent will wait. And you the sponsor should set a calendar reminder to follow up in 12-18 hours. This process takes hours up to a day as staff reviews application at corporate and verifies the agent’s license with the state is active and in good standing.
4.) Once the license has been verified, staff will email agent our ICA where (s)he will label his/her sponsor, and accurately fill the rest of the form out.
Note: Any errors will halt the process until revised.
5.) Once staff receives the documents, they will send them to the broker team to verify everything and affiliate agent’s license. (Depending on state, the time frame at which this is completed varies. I suggest the agent takes the steps to transfer their license ASAP as this will expedite the process.
IMPORTANT: If the agent does not take the steps they are required to, it will halt the process.
6.) Once license has been affiliated, a confirmation email will be sent to the email they provided asking them to confirm that this email address is working and the proper email they wish to receive eXp emails too. After confirming that email.
they are onboarded! We will then start to build their respective services accounts which they should be able to access the following day after they confirm their email!
